At Watershed High School, teachers create standards-aligned curriculum that aims to reach students at all academic levels. Specific to our learning community, staff design content that is engaging and relevant to student lives. With a focus on arts-infusion, lessons are tailored in a way to build upon various academic skills learned across subjects to promote critical-thinking and engagement. By graduation, students have experienced multiple perspectives and learning opportunities to become well-rounded citizens. Watershed High School meets or exceeds Minnesota graduation standards in all subject areas.

Grades are based on a 4.0 system. The lowest passing grade is a D-.
Requirements are:
- Language Arts: 4.0 Credits
- Science: 3.0 Credits
- Social Studies: 3.5 Credits
- Math: 3 Credits
- Arts: 2 Credit
- Electives: 6 Credits
- Physical Education: 0.25 credits
- Senior Project: 1 project during senior year
- English, social studies, science, and mathematics are organized as quarter-track classes.
- Arts and all other electives are also scheduled as quarter-track classes.
- One credit equals approximately 160 classroom hours.
- The state requirements for science are 3 credits of which 1 credit must be biology, 1 credit may be either chemistry or physics and the third credit is at the student's discretion.

Watershed High School offers a variety of classes, both core classes target at meeting students at their current ability level, along with a spectrum of supplemental enrichment classes for students to explore core topics in new and exciting ways.
