I. Watershed Covenant Agreement
The faculty and staff of Watershed High School are committed to working with
students to the best of their abilities. To do this, we need students who are willing to
learn to the best of their abilities, and parents/guardians who are willing to assist and
support to the best of their abilities. This document is an agreement between the student,
faculty, and parents/guardians that expresses the commitment of each of us to bring the
best that we can to this school, and our activities within it.

What can you expect from the school, its faculty, and staff?
My teachers will provide me with the best education they can give me.
My teachers will treat me with respect and regard for my humanity.
My teachers will listen to my questions and concerns.
My teachers will try to accommodate my needs to the best of their abilities.
The staff of Watershed High School will work together with the students, parents
and teachers to ensure the smooth operation of the school for all.

What is my role as a student?
Because Watershed is about discovery and challenge,
I will always try my best at new things.
Because Watershed is about reflection and improvement,
I will challenge myself to be open-minded.
Because Watershed is about learning as a human process,
I will bring a positive attitude about learning.
Because Watershed is about authenticity and growth,
I will support myself and others to live with integrity.
Because Watershed is about everyone’s highest well-being,
I will respect others’ right to comfort by adhering to the dress code
and using respectful language.
Because Watershed is about having a dynamic learning environment,
I will treat my teachers and staff with respect,
allowing them to work out of joy and inspiration,
and treat my classmates with respect,
honoring and supporting their right to learn
without distraction or interruption.
Because Watershed is about our interconnectedness with the world,
I will bring commitment and initiative
to community involvement and service activities.
Because Watershed is about having a beautiful, well functioning environment,
I will work to enhance and preserve its aesthetic environment,
and to respect and protect the property of others and of the school.
Because Watershed is about commitment and productively exercising will,
I will be on time to class, I will come to school every day,
and I will do all the work that is required of me.
Because Watershed is about integrity and expressing myself,
All work that I turn in will be my own.
Because Watershed is about wholeness, clarity, and growth,
My body and mind will be free of drugs and alcohol for school.

What is my role as a Parent or Guardian?
I will support my child’s education.
I will ensure that they are prepared for class, both physically and mentally.
I will support the community by being a school volunteer.
(Suggested 8 hours per Semester per family)
I will attend student/ parent/ teacher conferences, and stay in communication with
my child’s teachers and staff.
I will help my child with her or his homework whenever possible.
I will help to ensure that my child understands and follows the principles of the
Covenant, and the rules of the Student Handbook.
I will treat all students, teachers, and parents of Watershed with respect.
