Parents and Community

At Watershed High School, parents are deeply integrated into the life of the school. Parent's contributions of time, creative energy, experience, and wisdom broadens the students' opportunities and enables adventures otherwise unattainable. Working together with faculty and students is one of the things that makes Watershed such a vibrant, fun community!

Volunteers Needed!

Parents/guardians play many roles at Watershed such as organizing fundraising activities, serving lunch, staffing the front desk, providing computer and technical expertise, and serving on the Board of Directors or the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC).

Medieval Feast

The time for our annual Medieval Feast dinner theatre is quickly approaching, and we will be needing parent and community volunteers. We anticipate needing help with:

  • Costumes (sewing or borrowing)
  • Cooking on a large scale (restaurant experience helpful but not necessary!)
  • Supplies for sets and props
  • Ticket sales
  • Acquiring donations from local stores or businesses (food, decorations, etc.)

If you have a special talent like one of those listed above, please email Destiny Sparks (dsparks@watershedhs.org) or Sandra Smith (ssmith@watershedhs.org) so we can begin coordinating our efforts.

Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)

Currently, WHS is seeking parents/guardians to serve on the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC). The primary purpose of this committee is to advise and promote an attitude of respect toward all learners and to support and encourage involvement of families of learners with disabilities.

If you are interested in serving on the PAC or other volunteering opportunities, please complete the Parent/Guardian Volunteer Form and return it to Destiny Sparks at dsparks@watershedhs.org or drop it off at the front desk of the school.
